The owner, Milena, runs the business with passion and designs her own brand called MILENA. She imports jewellery from Italy, Mexico and Poland.

Milena discovered her love and vocation for jewellery when her family used to live in Mexico. Specifically, she fell in love with the unique silversmiths of the city of Taxco. Taxco is a small and picturesque Mexican town mainly known for its great silver tradition. It is considered the home of Mexican silver and in Taxco you can literally find it everywhere. The streets are full of silver shops and skilled artisans who work silver and create jewellery on-site.

Once Milena moved to the UK, the enthusiastic response she received for some personal pieces in her home gave her the idea and motivation of starting a jewellery business. Originally, Milena started selling silver and flowers- hence the name "The Secret Garden". The great response she soon got for the Mexican silver pieces made her focus on jewellery only.

The Secret Garden opened in 2001, and since then Milena has always selected unique jewellery and designs that turned her business into a great success. She has also always paid particular attention to men's jewellery, so often underestimated.
