Trollbeads: established 1976
Trollbeads was born in Denmark in 1976 as a family company and still today it remains so. The first bead ever added to the collection was Faces, designed and created using the 3000-year-old technique called the 'lost wax' method.
Up until the 21st century, it was just a family business. However, in 2001, ten new Danish jewellery designers were invited to join the team, so that Trollbeads could evolve and become more international. Throughout the years, they started working with different materials other than just silver: gold in 1988, glass in 2001, amber in 2007, gemstones in 2008 and porcelain in 2019.
What is characteristic of the Trollbeads brand is the clasp: in fact, you get to choose it exactly as you would like it to be. Chiselled, polished, with peculiar designs, with precious gems, in silver or gold: you will be spoilt for choice!

Trollbeads glass charms are made from the finest Italian Murano glass in an open flame, to add vibrant colours and lightness to your bracelet or bandle. Most of the Trollbeads glass is imported from Murano, an island close to Venice in Northern Italy. The vivid colours are achieved by adding different substances to the glass, such as copper for a clear marine blue.
